Biography / CVI am interested in the nature of the animals I portray, its the odd and the willful ones that fascinate me - horses that pick pockets, pigs that watch tv, hippos that adore teir own reflection. Pigs are a special favourite. Winston Churchill was a pig fan, and explained that whilst cats look down on you, and dogs look up to you, pigs treat you as an equal. I think thats about right, just lokkinto a pigs blue eyes and you see an intelligence and a sense of fun.I work in bronze and resin, from life-size to miniture. | |||||||||||
Artist StatementAdam works in clay, resins and bronze, making animal forms and abstract work exploring vessels and volume - an interest that stems from his training in ceramics. Movement and spirit are essential ingredients in his animal forms; the animals must be animated. | |||||||||||
